Tsunoko and Murai returned from their morning walk.

"Ahh that was relaxing," Tsunoko says cheerfully.

"I disagree," says Murai as he grabs the packet of ice to place on his head.

"Mrs. Moore, where is Kiko?" Murai asks as he places the packet of ice on his forehead.

"I don’t know she was here a minute ago?"

"She's probably at the cemetery visiting her mother." The kitchen grew silent.

Mrs. Moore handed Tsunoko and Murai a bowl of soup. "You two look hungry." The room grew silent once again as they ate the noodles and vegetables. Finishing his bowl Murai bowed and left the kitchen.

"Does anyone know where I put my staff?" Murai quickly searched through the house.

"Do you mean the broom-stick Kiko was playing with?" Moore-san yells across the room.

“Yeah, that broom stick thing!” Murai replies.

“She must have taken it with her, where ever she is?”

“Then, where is the cemetery?” Murai asks, ready to leap out the door.

“It’s at the other end of this village. You will see the shrine of peace at the gate.”

Murai jumps out the door after hearing the old lady.

“The Shrine of Peace,” he says to himself.

“I should fallow him, just incase,” says Tsunoko.

Mrs. Moor goes back to her house choirs, while the others went out looking for Kiko.

Walking to the cemetery, Murai realized he was being fallowed and quickly turns into an alley.

“It’s Tsunoko,” he whispers to himself.

He watches Tsunoko as she pretends to shop at the trinket shop.

“What is Murai doing in an alley way? Is he an idiot, he’s supposed to be looking for Kiko!” Tsunoko thinks to herself.

“I think she caught on to me. Damn it!”

“Hey, Tsunoko! I thought you were at the house?! Want to join me?!” Murai yells across the road catching attention as though he had done something wrong.

“Shit, I feel like an idiot,” Murai thinks to himself.

“You are one!” Tsunoko replies after crossing the road.

The sun reached the middle of the sky; it was already noon on a cloudless day. The village grew loud as the market houses opened for business; store owners began yelling while kids filled the streets playing and shopping. The smell of food became a pleasing hunger for Murai.

“Mmm that smells good; hey, Tsunoko lets get a bite to eat first!”

[POUND!!!] “We just ate remember! I swear you are always hungry!” Tsunoko explains.

“Lets get a move on, Kiko has the staff”

“Fine,” Murai replies.

They finally arrive at the peace shrine where Kiko is crying.

Tsunoko:  “What is wrong Kiko? Tell me all about it”

Kiko:     “It tried to kill me!”

Tsunoko:  “Who, what, calm down; start at the beginning.”

[[FLASH]]

“It all began after I had finished breakfast. I was walking out side while the two of you were just coming back. I went outside to get the staff on the porch. It was glowing again, but this time it was yellow. Any way since it was already hovering I sat on it thinking it was just reacting. Before I could do anything the rod took me here. It didn’t fly; it teleported. I didn’t think or want to go here. It just took me here. From this gate I felt the staff telling me to get off and fallow it. So, I did. I ended up at my mother’s grave or what was left of it. A plum colored demon had taken the ashes of my mother and had resurrected it into some sort of demon. I ran and screamed only to be boxed in by the demons magic. The staff nearby turned into ash itself and then vanished along with that plum demon.”

“I’m so sorry Murai, I lost the staff.”

[FLASH END]

Murai:      “Don’t worry it’s not your fault.”

“I don’t believe its broken or gone Kiko,” Murai replied ambitiously.

“The demon you saw was an ash demon made of volcanic soot, they are very witty and fast, but are very weak,” Tsunoko explained.

“Lets go soot demon hunting!”

[To be continued…]

Next time, crater hills, we are in pursuit of the soot demon.

(Part 4) Kikos past: The Dream that Reoccurs

"Were here sleepyhead", says Murai carrying Kiko on his back. Kiko opens her eyes, her past flashes as she looks at the village. "No, nooo~!", she cries. "What’s the problem Kiko", asks Tsunoko as she glances over. "That village why, LET ME GO", she runs off. "That was weird", says Tsunoko. "What’s gotten into her?" "That’s a good question…Lets fallow her" says Murai in an odd manner. Tsunoko and Murai have followed her to an empty field. [[FLASH]] "Mother, Mother noooo, Please", she weeps [[FLASH-FLASH]] "We are gathered here to day to Morn the death of…respecting those of our Superior Mukage’s we will burn all non-living remittance of her life…" "that’s not fair, where do I go now, how will I live without my Mommy mister?" "Surely you have a Father, don’t you child?" "Yes, but he’s never home…Mommy said he cant leave work." "Is that so dear child?" "Yes, mister" "Come then, you could be part of our family." She wipes her tears, "Thank you" "Come now try not to be so gloomy" (later that night) "Child the Mukage traditional ceremony is about to start, let us go?" "Mommy…."[FLASH] "Kiko…Kiko…are you alright, you where crying for you mother, did something happen?" "O’ no, no, its nothing." "C’mon Auntie Moore’s house is just around the corner, she’ll let us sleep there for the night."

(Chirp…Chirp…) "Yawn, its morning already?" "Murai, Tsunoko?" "Auntie, do you know where my friends went?" "Sure dear they said they where going out for a stroll." "Stroll?" "Yes, dear that’s what they said. Speaking of which they should be back any minute now, why don’t you go to the kitchen and grab a bite to eat." "Yes, Ma’am." Outside, on their stroll, "So how do you know Kiko’s Aunt isn’t her aunt?" "Being a mage comes with great responsibility…" "Like what" "…I have the capability of reading your mind" "Ok, then what am I thinking" [SMACK!!!] "YOU PERVERT!!!" "Whaaat…I needed to make sure so I…" "BUT STILL…" [SMACK!!] "AND STOP STARRING!!! [SMACK-SMACK!!!]…"O’utch, Stop already" "why don’t you" "Minds are supposed to be private!!!" Murai says as he runs "Not like that…I didn’t mean it that way", cry’s Murai "Outch-outch, hey stop already I quit, I stoped…waaa" He continues to run.

(Part 3) Ni~ Mashi-mai (half-space 2)

Bursts of bluish-violet flames quickly cover the two. As the rest of the room charcoals in red flame. The two crawl out unharmed by the flames. "Ora-Saigo-Maehora, Ora-Sai…", the ring of people slowly raise their tone, as though to brig harm with enchanting words. Murai looks at the crowd as he holds the rod into the air, "What the Kluk, what is your problem!", he yells. The enchantments dim down, as the manager steps forward to stand before them. She looks into Murai with peering eyes, "Do you understand the power of what, that you hold? Mere haven had left it centuries ago to be guarded by the clan of Momido, a clan of wise mages. The Momido had known the potential of that rod of yours and had guarded it for centuries. Why does a boy of brute power carry such a thing?" Murai and Kiko glance at the rod. Murai asks, "Why did you destroy the dinner?" "The rod carries…" just then an arrow pierces through her body. The rod lights up and turns red, restoring her health and levitating the arrow away from her body. The woman awakens as if she had been in a deep sleep. Kiko, being impatient asks, "the rod carries what-the rod carries what?" The lady looks at Kiko, then at Murai. Confused and dizzy she gets up to look at the crowd. Kiko asks again as if she didn’t already ask. The lady smiles, "What rod, what does it carry? Who am I where am I?" The crowd sits down cross-legged in their hakama (traditional war pants used in iaido/kendo) as they stare at the rod. One stands up, "I will", she whispers, "I will join you on your quest to find the secrets". Murai looks at her with confusion, " why do you want to help?" "Obviously Kurainai is in amnesia, I want to find the cure for her!" she replies. Murai looks at her with disbelief, "Ok". "I am Tsunoko, please let me help you", as she bows in respect.

[To be continued]

Sorry guys, kind o’ got too many things to do ~_~…

Next time, Kiko’s past: The Dream That Reoccurs. On the next adventure, their off to Mikyo village, the home of Kiko. Why does Kiko hate her village, and who is this Tsunoko person?

(Part 2) Welcome to Mashi-mai (half-space) City!

Murai stops for a second, as he indulges himself with the smells of freshly baked goods. Kiko, coming from a distance, yells for Murai to slow down. Murai looks back as he waits for her to catch-up. Finally arriving, they walk to the nearest breakfast house. "Mmm", says Kiko, licking her pink lips. Walking into the breakfast house, it appeared to be a tree on the outside. Walking in, Kiko awes at the incredible work put into the carving of the interior of this tree. The manager looks at them with her dark green eyes and says, "You guys new here?" Murai responds with a short glance. Ignoring his rude behavior, she replies, "I’ll fix you up some pancakes". Kiko looks up at Murai, "I think we should sit down". They walk to the table on the left; Murai places the rod on the table. The lady comes out with the two plates of Pancakes, "Here you go". She stops for a second, looking at the rod as though she knew something about it and places their meal on the table. The manager leaves the breakfast house for a second, as though there was a problem. The two heroines sit and eat, while a large raucous begins outside. "Ora-Saigyo-Maehora, Ora-Saig…". They look out side, there is a chain of people holding hands around the breakfast house murmuring a bunch of nonsense. Just then the Orb begins to light up, "What the blood is going on", Murai yells in a whiny manner. Just after he had yelled those words the dinner had exploded.

*Who is the breakfast house manager, and why did this happen? Will our characters survive?

Welcome to the dark mind of Kurai...

To make it clear to everyone, I'm probably going to just write a continuous story (as in novel style) on this page...so if you like stories keep on this page. I'll Try to update it as much as possible.

Opening scene:

In the dark woods of Komaha, Murai is miles away from home, on a journey to find the untold truth of his family’s ancient artifact. This glowing turquoise jewel imbedded in a wooden rod some how ties with his thoughts. Although few know of its secrets not many are willing to tell it, but why and who?

As dusk approaches, the glowing stone attracts many thieves. Removing the black cloth from his head he carefully covers the glowing stone and ready's himself for intruders, using the rod as a boe (staff used for fighting). Someone approaches from behind, in a rapid turn he throws the victim down. "You’re a girl?!", he says'. The girl almost unconscious says his name before passing out. Unable to identify her, Murai watches over her hoping shed regain continence. Sitting in the dim-lighted forest he begins to wonder how she had known his name...drawn to no conclusions he falls a sleep unknowingly.

Next morning he awakens to find the girl and the rod missing. Walking the same direction he had been going he searches for the young girl. Ten yards later he hears his name, **Murai! Murai... he turns towards the voice. The girl continues the call, as he draws closer. Wearing the black cloth as a hair band for her pink hair she sees Murai. "Murai-san look, look what i can do", she sits on the rod while it floats in the air. Murai, unimpressed with her horseplay tells the girl to return the rod. Wearing a gloomy pout, she returns the rod. They both sit down on the rocks to take a break. Murai turns and asks the girl, "Do I know you from some where?" The girl replies, "Are you serious?" staring at him seriously. "I’m Kiko, from the Mikyo Village". He looks at her with a confused face, "I don’t recall your face, nor going to Mikyo Village, but since you know my name you can tag along". "Any ways how’d you do that thing with the rod?" She looks up at the trees and says, "It did that on its own", as she lay her back on the rock. Murai, now looking at the rod, is confused. "What do, how is that possible", he asks. "You tell me its your stick", she replies. Frustrated, he walks off to the next town. "Murai-san where are you going?" "I’m going to town to get some food, you’ll have to pay for your own, sorry kid." Infuriated, she yells "I am not a kid I am sixteen, that’s six years from being a kid!" "…Again", he says. "ERRRR! DON’T MESS WITH ME", she yells. "Ok kid, just cool it." She turns her head, "humph."

No longer arguing they arrive in town.
